Mother Nature
Earth does not belong to man. Man belongs to the Earth.
~Tedd Perry
Mother Earth is a goddess who speaks to, or is an exemplification of nature, parenthood, richness and creation. Our Earth is the most delightful planet in our close planetary system. To the extent we know, Earth is the main planet that has life. Well, you must have had seen the movie “Avatar “by James Cameron at some point of time. What I liked the most about the movie was the idea of the Mother Nature so active in a planet and the life forms in full atonement with her. Believe me or not, there is a full fledged, fully formed and active Mother Nature, our own ‘eywa’ on earth. The problem is, unlike the ‘na'vi’, we are nowhere near such atonement with our Mother Nature. The organisms on earth seem to have lost the capability to communicate with the mother. However, as her children we might've had forgotten her, but a mother never forgets her children.
She is not at all like some other mother however she isn't occupied with the prosperity of future generation. She won't be reluctant to give up a couple of her off-springs if she can spare a large portion of them. The nearest animal we can compare her to is the queen ant. A queen ant is concerned only about the well-being of the entire colony as a whole, and would selflessly do anything to ensure it, whether it is sacrificing a few of her offspring or even herself.
One boon of nature to every organism is evolution. Each creature gets what is completely required for it to survive. However after this it needs to locate its own specific manner in this world. This is harsh but is needed for balance. It is like the parent may need to quit holding the cycle in the event that he needs to instruct a youngster how to ride a cycle.
You claim to love nature, if so, you don't know nature. She doesn't love you in the way you may think, she requests adjustment and respect. Nature can embody in risky catastrophes, or in the nurturing rainforests. As I said, nature requires balance, and if we won't make balance then nature will have to intervene, which might result in the destruction of the human race. The ancients worshipped nature, her gifts, her kindness, her mercy, her anger and every other prospect in different ways. Ever wondered why there are so many gods, well that is because worshipping all of them is like indirectly worshipping Mother Nature. The ancients found it easy to believe in nature in those forms, but do we? As time changes, so does everything else. Heraclitus has rightly put up ‘Change is the only constant in life’ .We have to change the way we treat mother earth. Imagine a personified Mother Nature as active as ‘eywa’. Stand in her shoes, and think what she would be thinking. If Pandora was a complex system, then earth is chaotic, but still just beneath that ocean of chaos lays order. What nature wants is ‘ma'at aab chaos’. For just one moment think that nature has a fixed form and is everywhere. What should we do to appease her, keep being hypocrites? Saving the electricity of even an entire city would not help. What we need to do is spread the word, change not only your own life- styles but educate people and nudge them towards the right path, so there may be "balance” and we humans, will at last pass "the test " regardless of the possibility of scoring low grades. Love the Earth : it’s the only one we’ve got.
