Divine Justice
MYP4 students took up the idea for the film from their curriculum and landed up making the film based on ‘King Lear’. The movie was named ‘Divine Justice’.
Students, according to their skills, were allotted responsibilities in different areas of filmmaking, like script writing, direction, acting, logistics, costume and make-up, cinematography and editing. Each student was a part of the film making process.
The shooting of the film at different locations and its editing were long processes, which though were tiring, made the students learn about the different techniques related with film making . It also made them grow as responsible individuals, ready to take up challenges that come their way.
The film was then sent to the Shake Me Up Film Festival to be judged and MYP4 secured first place in the Senior High category of the films submitted from the school.
The learners were exposed to a very different world and enjoyed being a part of film making as it was the very first time that they were involved in it. In CI, the students are learning numerous things that they are filled with confidence and look forward to more challenging and rewarding projects in future.
