What Parents say
As it is said ‘The true sign of intelligence is not knowledge but imagination.’
This quote appropriately goes with the IB (International Baccalaureate) set up in Geneva in 1968. I would personally like to say that IB is a board which makes a child evolve to a responsible individual. It is a board which gives every child a quality as well as international education quite distinct from the conventional studies and results in emerging out of a chrysalis and becoming a complete butterfly. In other words, it means it is a board which would carve a person into a responsible individual leading the world. It is totally a different platform as it has many attributes and learner profiles which are the pivot around which the whole system revolves.
One such area is International and open mindedness as it fully focuses on traditional values and modern thoughts. It has helped many young minds to inspire and develop a career based attitude and these all are carried well with one of its attribute CAS. It means (Creativity, Action and Service), this helps a lot to serve the community and help the needy and its main motto is to fill the social gap among the people and embrace their lives with cheer and foster happiness and joy in it.
The other expanse which I like the most is TOK (Theory of Knowledge). This a subject which is introduced to the students in the Diploma Programme which makes young minds to brainstorm, think logically, rationally with a scientific approach. What it basically instils in one is application skills and a perception to think out of the box. Moreover it is full of self–analysis and reflection on our ways and means to lead our life. It broadens perspectives and enhances acceptance. In short it opens a realm and introduces young minds at a tender age to the reality of the world.
Moreover, IB is perfect education for today’s world as it makes one to cope up with the global standards. It also makes one an individual with a difference and the school Choithram International is also doing the same by organising MUNs, exchange programmes etc. It is also providing education which is not confined to the four walls of the classroom but which is quite innovative and interactive.
